Rose Wood Architects, Inc. is an award winning design firm providing a full range of architectural services.  We maintain a diverse practice with an emphasis on residential work.  We approach every project with care and excitement, and with particular attention to detail, context and budget.  Founded originally in 1963, Joan Wood Associates was a groundbreaking woman owed architectural office.  It went on to become a well respected and successful design firm, completing projects throughout New England including the renovation of over 100 South End rowhouses.  Joan's son Joshua worked with her for 12 years before taking ownership of the firm and renaming it Rose Wood Architects, Inc.  We continue to produce innovative and professional design work resulting in well designed beautiful buildings.

Architectural services:

Our familiarity with community institutions and in guiding projects through public design review and permitting processes is extensive: the founding principal was a member of the Boston Zoning Board of Appeal and vice chair of the Massachusetts Designer Selections Board.  Joshua has been a Design Review Committee member for numerous projects and community organizations. He also brings a wide variety of practical and professional expertise to the firm (including 10 years of architectural teaching).
